Matthews had been a businessman and was part of a small insurance business in Anderson, IN decades before, so he thought why not give it a shot? After entering the business as an entry-level agent and quickly working his way into management, he realized he loved the opportunity to both help his clients with important life decisions and make a comfortable living at the same time. After nearly a decade of working in various roles in the industry, he decided it was time to strike out on his own and start Matthews Family Insurance.
